January 20, 2015 Board Meeting Agenda Item #18 Title APPROVAL OF EXPULSION CASE NO. 14-254 Description The student listed in Expulsion Case No. 14-254, is in violation of an accepted settlement agreement for Alternative School Placement due to initiating a Declaration of Intent to Terminate School Enrollment. On February 5, 2014, the student violated School Board Policy 5.32 Repetitive disobedience, Defiance, &/or Insubordination. It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the student be expelled from Sarasota County Schools until May 29, 2015. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statues and School Board Policy 5.34, the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case No. 14-254, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools, be approved effective immediately until May 29, 2015.
